Its share of world aerospace production has doubled in less than a decade. Canada is home to more than 500 aerospace firms employing nearly 85,000 skilled individuals. Canadian aerospace firms recorded sales totaling US$15 billion in 2001. More than 75%, or US$11 billion, was exported.
