Newfoundland-based organization to serve as centre of excellence for off-shore oil and gas and unmanned vehicle systems applications.
Gladstone Aerospace(GAC) announces the formation of Gladstone Systems Solutions (GSS) and the hiring of Mr. Jim House to lead the organization. GSS will focus on systems engineering, training solutions and software-based product development from its offices in St. John’s, Newfoundland, applying aerospace expertise to the development of systems that increase safety and improve operational performance within the off-shore oil and gas sector. With its presence, GSS contributes to the vibrant and expanding aerospace sector in Newfoundland.
With the growing importance of unmanned vehicle systems (UVS) for remote surveillance, mission planning, and environmental monitoring, GSS will also serve as the centre of excellence within Gladstone Aerospace for UVS for both airborne and underwater applications.
GSS is excited to announce that it has hired Mr. Jim House to launch this new company. Mr. House comes to GSS from Honeywell Canada, where he held the position of Vice President of Government Relations. “Jim brings more than 25 years of aerospace industry experience to the GSS organization”, said Keith Gladstone, President of GAC. “We are privileged to have someone of his calibre and reputation join our organization to grow this exciting new division.”
